Later Services for Diverse Schedules
A Range of Improvements
- Most routes would start between 5 and 6 a.m. and run until 10 p.m. or later on weekdays and Saturdays, and 8 p.m. or later on Sundays.
- The number of routes running until 10 p.m. or later on weekdays would grow from 18 to 27.
- Five high-ridership routes (1, 2, 3, 4, 25) serving some of Pierce County’s busiest and most congested corridors would operate until midnight, making it easier to travel later in the evening.
MAKING TRANSIT WORK FOR YOU.
65 and Older? Ride Free.
Every senior rides the bus and SHUTTLE at no cost — no pass, no fare, no barrier.
Seniors who qualify for SHUTTLE paratransit would also ride fare free.
Reduced fares (ORCA LIFT) remain available for riders with lower incomes and riders with disabilities.
Youth 18 and under continue to ride free, even if future state funding for the program is reduced or ends.
Expanded paratransit
SHUTTLE is available within ¾ of a mile of every local bus route, so as new routes are added and routes expand, that coverage expands with them. This means later hours that match the extended bus schedules, and the ability to serve more eligible customers with disabilities.

If approved, 80% of our service would run longer and later hours
