MORE PLACES
If approved, Proposition 1 would add four new bus routes along with seasonal and special event service. This means more ways to get around your neighborhood and to new neighborhoods riders can’t reach today.
FOUR NEW ROUTES
The plan adds four new routes serving the Tacoma, Lakewood and Puyallup areas:
- Route 40: Port of Tacoma & East Tacoma
- Route 51: Central Tacoma & Lakewood
- Route 63: Northeast Tacoma
- Route 491: Puyallup (weekday service)
MORE POSSIBILITIES
Special-event service would go where the crowds go without the parking hassles
- Waterfront Trolleys: Gig Harbor and the Tacoma-Ruston waterfront and Point Defiance area
- Special Event Service: Fairs, sporting events, festivals, and concert series — think Washington State Fair, summer concerts, and big game days such as the recent Summer of Soccer Fan Zone and Rainiers games. Service would be determined annually based on community events.

Community input from young people helped Shape the proposed new routes.
The proposed network would strengthen connections to places youth live, learn, and play, especially in Lakewood, Northeast Tacoma, Downtown Tacoma, and East Tacoma, with improved regional connections to the Puyallup area.
